Delivery & Returns
Important Local Delivery Information
Here at Ced Wirral depot we have our own fleet, local deliveries [CH postcodes] are therefore made using hiab/crane wagons, our wagons have approximately 10 ft reach. We will always endeavour to leave goods in the most optimal place if it is safe to do so. Typically speaking delivery issues are rare but in the event you are anxious about access or any other foreseeable issues feel free to contact us on 0151 327 5555.
We aim to deliver all orders within 4 working days (where stock is available). If there is a delay, we will contact you when your order has been placed to discuss rearranging delivery.
Important National Delivery Information
National deliveries are not made by us but with an external haulier. This means all deliveries require access for a tail-lift and a pallet truck. These wagons can be as large as 18 tonne vehicles. You must have a dropped kerb and hard-standing, flat solid groundwork capable of manoeuvring a pallet truck on. Failing to comply with any of the above may result in a failed delivery, resulting in return costs. Our hauliers will charge approximately £50.00 per pallet for this failed delivery, plus the additional already paid funds for collecting and distributing the goods to your address. We do sell thousands of tonne a year with hauliers so If you are unsure or would like any further advice into whether your property qualifies please contact us or alternatively read further on for any additional information.
Upon placing the order It is the customers responsibility to make sure we have a working telephone contact number for you. The manual pallet trucks that the driver use, cannot be operated on any uneven ground such as gravel, grass, inclines or declines etc. It is your responsibility to make sure the driver has access! Ideally you should make sure somebody is available to accept your delivery and to sign for the goods. If you have any questions at all, best to call or Email for more details regarding the logistics of delivery.
Typically speaking we very rarely have issues regarding delivery, or orders in general. However it is important to be thorough when placing an order to nullify the possibly of any failed deliveries, especially due to the costs of distributing goods of this weight.
If nobody is home, the driver will attempt to leave the goods in the most suitable place. We at CED Limited are not responsible for goods left after delivery. All deliveries will be made to kerbside unless specified otherwise. As our hauliers are not insured to take goods onto your premises without your permission.
With your permission, and at the drivers discretion, your materials may be offloaded directly onto your premises, however any damages caused to the goods delivered, or any property including (but not limited to) Manholes, Tarmac Driveways, Block Paved Driveways, Trees, Buildings, Gates, Gate Posts, Fences, Overhead Cables etc. are not the responsibility of CED Limited.
Following delivery all items should be thoroughly inspected.
Delivery will be made between 8am - 6pm on the day arranged. We cannot offer timed deliveries or an estimated time for delivery.
We will make every effort to deliver the goods on the agreed date, but this can never be guaranteed. Unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or break downs can occur in very few cases and in which case, we will make sure someone contacts you to re-arrange the delivery.
Any damages should be noted and documented. You should inform us of these damages by phone or email within 24 hours. You should include images of damaged material.
