Moorland Walling
Quick and easy to use because of its composite make-up, Moorland Walling
units are designed to be erected either using a 4 parts sand : 1 part
cement mortar joint (ranking out to the depth and in the matching colour
of the false joint within the block will further enhance the natural
look) or alternatively with a thinly applied cement-based proprietary
brand of out door brick and tile adhesive.
Varying random designs within block types add to the natural appeal and
the availability of full and half blocks, all with faced return ends,
enables half bonding and corner situations to be easily accommodated
without unnecessary cutting.
Moreland Walling will blend within any garden setting and will add height
and interest to flat areas when used for boundary walls, dwarf walls,
raised seats and planters or even in the form of a simple plinth.
All walls and garden features will require foundations.
As a rule of thumb a foundation should be dug approximately
one third of the total wall/ feature height (minimum
depth 100mm) and foundation width should be three
times the width of the wall.
A recommended foundation mix would be 4 parts coarse aggregate: 2 parts
building sand: 1 part cement.
Please remember for retaining walls higher then 600mm and any wall built
over one metre high, professional advice should be sought prior to construction.
The Stone Copings can also be used as a patio edging
or as a low level retainer edging. |
